Melanoma Support Groups
Patient Support Groups
Getting a diagnosis of any kind of “cancer” can be, well frankly, scary. Sometimes, you
just want to talk to someone who has been down a similar path; other times, you just
want to listen. There are many kinds of skin cancer and no one can predict what any
one person or family is feeling or will go through, but sometimes, people will share
different experiences, about their challenges and triumphs.
There are several support groups around the country run by organizations who share a
common vision of eradicating melanoma! Below is a listing of support groups that we
are aware of. We do not specifically endorse or monitor any of these groups, but want
to share with you potential resources. Please contact them directly for updated information.
If you can’t find a support group in your area, try contacting your local medical center
or nearest academic medical center. If you can’t make a meeting or can’t find a local
one consider emailing a survivor of an online support group.
